Personalized Vision Correction
Contact lenses are worn to correct refractive errors such as myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), astigmatism, and presbyopia.
At Experts on Sight, we offer a comprehensive contact lens exam and fitting process to ensure that you have the correct prescription and comfortable fit for your new contact lenses.
Our variety of specialty contact lenses gives our patients with hard-to-fit eyes or eye conditions excellent options to correct their vision.
Specialty Lenses for Your Visual Needs
At Experts on Sight, we offer specialty contact lenses for more complex vision correction needs.
MiSight Myopia Control Lenses
MiSight myopia control lenses are soft contact lenses that help manage and correct nearsightedness in children. These lenses are designed to slow the progression of myopia in children aged 8 to 12 at the initiation of treatment.
For more information, visit our myopia control page.
Scleral Lenses
Scleral contact lenses can be an excellent option for patients who may struggle wearing contacts due to conditions such as dry eye syndrome and keratoconus.
Scleral lenses are larger than traditional contacts and allow for more space over your cornea’s surface for extra breathability.
Ortho-K Lenses
Ortho-k contact lenses are designed to reduce the dependence on contact lenses and glasses. The orthokeratology process involves inserting the lenses at night and removing them in the morning, allowing for clear vision throughout the day.
Ortho-k lenses are an excellent option for most patients with mild to moderate myopia or hyperopia.
Aspheric Lenses
Aspheric contact lenses work by controlling the average spherical aberration in the lens and human eye.
Spherical aberration is the inability of a lens to focus light on a common point. Aspheric contact lenses can focus light and offer clearer, sharper vision.
Toric Lenses
Toric contact lenses are available in both the soft and RGP variety. Toric lenses contain multiple powers, one vertical and the other horizontal, and help correct astigmatism.
These multiple powers allow the lenses to center correctly on the eye. Toric lenses require a precise fit, and our team can help you find a comfortable and ideal fit during your exam.
Multifocal Lenses
Multifocal contact lenses have a bifocal design with 2 distinct lens powers for near and distance vision. These lenses can eliminate the need for reading glasses and help correct presbyopia.
Multifocal lenses are available in both soft and RGP contact lens options and are designed for daily wear or extended overnight wear.
Hybrid Contact Lenses
Hybrid contact lenses feature a rigid gas permeable center and are surrounded by a soft outer ring. These lenses correct refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia, presbyopia, and astigmatism.
Hybrid contact lenses can also help manage keratoconus, which is an irregular curvature of the cornea.
